[Hum-DIS] Fremantle City Library: Volunteers Wanted

Please see below for a succinct volunteering opportunity at Fremantle City Library.

RFID project.

Commencing Monday 21st August we will start tagging our collection. This is planned to continue on through to approximately end of September. Successful volunteers can start with us any time from the 21st of August. They don't have to commence on the 21st August, we would welcome volunteers to commence until the 8th September.

We thought it would be great if there were any students who might be interested in volunteering to assist on this project.

Volunteering is available during weekdays Monday - Friday between the hours of 9am-5pm.
Shifts are two hours in duration and no more than two shifts a week can be offered. (This is due to the physical demands of the task)
Full training is provided.
The task involves taking the items from the shelf, attaching the physical tag, scanning into the system and replacing back on shelves.

This would provide students the opportunity to see the operations of a public library team. We also have other ongoing volunteering opportunities so students who participate in this project may wish to express their interest to continue volunteering with us in another capacity.
