Grant has worked as a Rare Books Consultant Librarian from 2011-2015, establishing a purchased collection, from New York, as a working Library of 10,000 exceptional volumes in the field of Geology, Mining and Mining History here in Perth.
Gail’s current role involves the coordination of IEA’s employment and consulting services, providing consulting services to clients, as well as developing and presenting IEA’s records management training courses.
What: Panel discussion with audience questions
Where: Great Southern Room, State Library of Western Australia
When: 5.30 to 7.30pm, Wednesday 12 October 2016

Gail’s experience within the records management industry is extensive, having worked within the public and private sectors for over thirty years. Prior to her employment with IEA Gail worked as a Librarian in the public library environment and as a Records/Information Manager in State government, local government and the resources sector.
Grant has been building Murdoch’s Popular Culture Collections since 1974 particularly in the areas of Science Fiction, Fantasy, Comic material, alternative counter culture and social change materials. Grant is a regular contributor to public radio and an authority on science fiction, fantasy and children’s literature. He presented the nationally broadcast, weekly ‘Faster than Light’ radio show until August 2012.
Come along to hear all about consultancy in libraries, records and archives, nibbles will be provided.
Please RSVP to anikaclairemoore at gmail.com<mailto:anikaclairemoore at gmail.com> (by Tuesday 11 October) . We look forward to seeing you all there.
