Hello Wainers
We have an urgent requirement for a casual Librarian to manage the Perth Library of the Australian School of Management.   An opportunity to discuss longer term contractual arrangements will be made available in due course.

The Australian School of Management (ASM) is a boutique higher education provider offering cutting-edge University level Degrees from campuses in Perth and Melbourne. ASM is passionate about Industry Relevant Education; we ensure that our graduates have the skills and knowledge to enter industry.

As the Librarian you will play an important part in the delivery of knowledge and information resources to support effective learning and teaching of ASM students and staff.

Duties include:

  *   Providing research support to staff and students
  *   Managing a hardcopy and electronic collection of higher educational and vocational educational materials.
  *   Developing and maintaining a library website.
  *   Coordinating and actively participating in the delivery of information literacy and academic research skills workshops.
  *   Overseeing the re-location of the Library to a new space.
The successful applicant will have:

  *   Possession of a formal qualification in Library Studies or a recognised equivalent.
  *   Previous relevant experience working in a library, preferably in an academic library.
  *   Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of library management systems.
  *   Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of electronic resources, in particular electronic books in the academic environment.
