SPECIALIST LIBRARIAN - PROJECTS
$69,051 - $72,895 pa

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team as a Specialist Librarian - Projects and assist with providing an efficient and effective library and information service to the Community.

In consultation with the Coordinator Library & Heritage Services you will develop, implement and review programmes, services, displays and promotional activities.

Other duties include:

*         Providing specialist advice to stakeholders on youth library services.

*         Developing and maintaining a calendar of planned programmes and providing regular reports on the status of program delivery.

*         Coordinating and actively participating in the delivery of programmes and special events.

*         Overseeing the marketing and promotion of library services through developing and implementing appropriate promotional materials and publications.

The successful applicant will have:

*         Possession of, or progress towards, a formal qualification in Library Studies or a recognised equivalent, or equivalent relevant experience.

*         Previous relevant experience working in a library and in particular in the provision of services to young people.

*         A demonstrated understanding of the operations and requirements of the State Library of Western Australia (SLWA).
