Professional Development Opportunity: Training Specialist Role



Professional Trainer (with Librarian Background) - Melbourne based

*       Australia/NZ-wide responsibilities for training EBSCO's customers in the use of resources

*       Work with EBSCO's dynamic and highly motivated Melbourne based team

*       Extensive travel opportunities



The Training Specialist's role is to work with new and existing library customers to ensure their investment in EBSCO's products is maximized for the benefit of the library's user community.  These products include research databases (including discovery services) and software as a service.



The successful candidate will independently execute EBSCO's regional training program to customers across all states and territories of Australia and New Zealand. The role will involve designing, developing and delivering first class customer training regarding EBSCO products, services, and enhancements and will include the creation and maintenance of training outlines and presentations. Training will be delivered through a combination of both onsite customer visits and online sessions.



Extensive interstate and some international travel will be required  however the position will be based in Melbourne.



EBSCO requires the following skills/experience:

*       Relevant tertiary qualifications in (librarianship/library studies)

*       2+ years of proven experience in successfully designing, developing and facilitating training

*       Strong technical aptitude - must be able to quickly learn and apply new technical skills

*       Experience working in an academic library environment (desirable)

*       Passion for training and customer service

*       Exceptional presentation ability

*       Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

*       Excellent organizational skills

*       Willing to travel up to 50% of work time
