[Hum-DIS] Attention students in Queensland

[HUM-INFOSTUD PRAC]

Dear students

As with 2015, the State Library of Queensland (SLQ) will be arranging fieldwork placements through an application process conducted twice per year, the first due date for applications this year is Sunday 28 February, 2016.

As many of you will realise, this is before I make the official call for prac applications for the mid-year prac period.

If you are based in Queensland and considering the State Library of Queensland then please email me asap, including a copy of your resume. Please make sure your resume includes the units you have studied and the units you will be studying OR include a copy of your study plan. SLQ placements are open to first year students and above.

The placement/s will take place in the mid-year period, generally in July. For more information about the Department of Information Studies' prac process see the prac manual, link in my signoff. Please note I am currently updating this documentation and hoping to have it uploaded by early next week.

Going forward there will be additional paperwork to complete.
