Manager, Wheatbelt Community Legal Centre

The Wheatbelt Community Legal Centre is seeking a skilled and dynamic Manager to lead the organisation.  This Centre is an independent non-profit organisation that provides legal and tenancy services to the Wheatbelt community.  The Manager works with and under direction of the Board of Management.

The successful applicant will have:

A degree in Human Services or Law, or significant relevant experience with a demonstrated commitment to social justice, human rights and commitment to community development;

Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team of paid and volunteer workers;

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills;

Experience in planning and working strategically with demonstrated sound knowledge and skills in organisational governance;

Experience in the financial management of a range of funding contracts, and use of computerised financial management systems;

Demonstrated ability to appropriately represent the organisation to a diverse audience, including Members of Parliament, funding bodies, media and other key stakeholders;

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a Management Committee;

Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.

Knowledge of community legal centres is desirable.
