Subject: New Norcia Studies Day 2016

Greetings from the Archives of New Norcia.

This email is to let you know about New Norcia's Studies Day to be held at New Norcia on Saturday May 28th. This year the theme is "Voices from the Archives" and once again the archives have yielded some fascinating treasures. In the morning session, our speakers are Odhran O'Brien ( a long time researcher at New Norcia and currently undertaking a PhD based on New Norcia material) and Dr Peter Price from the University of Divinity in Melbourne who is looking into the three Australian bishops who were present at Vatican 1 (Salvado, Serra and Griver). In the afternoon, Dr Stefano Girola will be talking about his translation of Salvado's 1900 Report to Rome, following close on the heels of his hugely successful critical edition and translation of Salvado's 1883 Report, and finally, but by no means least, Ross Bertinshaw will be telling us the results of his research into the well-diggers of New Norcia (and the Victoria Plains).

If you would like to attend, the cost is $60 per person ($40 for seniors and students) which includes morning and afternoon teas and lunch. The attached flyer will give you further details about the day as well as registration information. To book your place, please either complete the relevant parts of the attached flyer (post or email to me or to Lucy in Communications) or ring me or Lucy on 9654 8018.

Very much hoping you can come and looking forward to meeting old friends again on the 28th,
Very best wishes,
Peter
