Subject: [WAIN] Cultural Development roles available at City of Wanneroo

Dear colleagues

There are 2 exciting career opportunities available at the City of Wanneroo that are currently being advertised.

The first is the role of Manager Cultural Development, responsible for libraries, heritage, museums and arts, including a significant public art program.  It is a senior leadership role with the ability to strategically influence the future direction of arts, heritage and culture here at the City of Wanneroo.  The role is vacant because I have taken up a new role at the City.  Applications close for this role next Friday, 11 September

The second role is that of Coordinator Cultural Services which reports to the Manager Cultural Development and has operational responsibility for the management of the City's Regional Museum, heritage sites, public art, community art, the Community History Centre and City's art collection, as well as the exhibitions program here at the City.  The successful applicant will work closely with the community to build the cultural direction of the City. It is also a leadership role with responsibility for some 17 staff.  Applications for this role close at the end of this week.

Both roles will be working in a very busy, dynamic and complex working environment and will suit people with strong leadership skills, the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external parties, and someone who thrives on innovation and change.
