Endeavour College of Natural Health continues to be one of Australia's leading private education providers across the natural health, fitness and beauty industries.

We currently have a great opportunity for a flexible, organized and energetic Library Assistant to support the busy and friendly team at our Perth Library. This is a casual position which would see you assisting during peak periods, and to cover leave.

We are seeking an individual who has availability throughout the weekdays. Although no guarantee can be made on the number of hours required weekly, we would commit to providing a roster in advance in situations other than covering for emergency leave. Due the unpredictable nature of this work, this role would be ideal for an individual wanting to keep their skills strong, but only requiring intermittent hours.

The main objective of the role is to provide a high quality service to all library users, including students, academic and staff, both on campus and online.


The primary responsibilities include:



*           Providing exceptional client service to all users

*           Checking books in and out, as well as shelving

*           Providing general assistance to all users when working alone

*           Daily tasks utilising the electronic library system (Symphony)

*           Other duties as directed


To be successful in the role you will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:



*         Diploma in Library & Information Studies and relevant library work experience
*         Client service-focused team member who is competent working alone (required) or as part of a team

*         Excellent oral and written communication skills

*         Confidence with various forms of technology and experience with on-line databases and digital resources

*         Excellent attention to detail

*         Comfortable with physical duties/manual handling

*         Flexibility regarding hours (please see below)

Working Conditions: Flexible/variable hours during the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Rate: $24.56 per hour, plus superannuation.
