This may be of interest to you. Way back when, I applied for the Sharr Award, although it was awarded to another candidate the whole process most worthwhile. It would have been great to have attended a session like this :).

Subject: [WAIN] ALIAWest information session on applying for awards 9 March

And so we come to that time of year again when we celebrate our profession and recognize those individuals who are achieving great things.

As part of library and information week (25-29 May) a number of local awards will be presented, including the WA Library Board Award for Excellence and the Sharr Award.

Do you know someone you would like to nominate? Or perhaps you'd like to nominate yourself but are not sure how to go about it.

ALIAWest will be hosting an informal information session on these awards, outlining the nomination process, how to complete an application, what the reviewers might be looking for in successful candidates and answer any questions you may have.
