Subject: Eighth International Evident Based Library and Information Practice Conference (EBLIP8) - Student Volunteer opportunity

Dear Course Coordinators,

Your students are invited to submit an application to become a student volunteer for the Eighth International Evident Based Library and Information Practice Conference (EBLIP8) being held at the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane July 6-8 2015.

Applications are now open for student volunteers to assist at the conference and post conference events.  Selected students have the opportunity to assist in a variety of areas including:

  *   working on the registration desk
  *   aiding speakers and session chairs
  *   directing and helping delegates
  *   documenting the event using multimedia
  *   photographing and recording short interviews
  *   uploading content to interactive boards
  *   liaising with venue staff
  *   assisting with library tours and other activities as required

EBLIB8 will provide successful applicants with excellent communication and networking opportunities where students will have the opportunity to attend some seminar sessions.

Applicants for EBLIP8 conferenceStudent Volunteer positions must be current library and information science students. Applicants need to submit three documents:
§  The attached nomination form
§  One page resume (A4)
§  The student's personal statement addressing the selection criteria (see the attached) or view the documentation on the website http://eblip8.info/about/volunteering-at-eblip8/

Please Note: All travel, accommodation and other living expenses are the responsibility of the successful applicants.

The application closing date is May 8 2015.
