Call for International Scholarship Entries - open to WA Public Librarians
The Kay Poustie Scholarship is open for entries.
The Kay Poustie Scholarship provides a travel grant of up to $5,000 for a professional library practitioner wishing to extend their knowledge to research international library practice models that will benefit the Western Australian public library network.
Entries close at 5:00pm on Monday 13 April 2015.
The Kay Poustie Scholarship funds a library professional in Western Australia to undertake international research in innovative library services and practice that can be applied to the benefit of public libraries in WA.
The scholarship is a partnership between the State Library of Western Australia; Public Libraries WA (Inc) and the State Library of Western Australia Foundation.
In 2015 the Kay Poustie Scholarship offers two options:
EITHER:
Option One:
To travel overseas on a study tour to explore ideas and initiatives of relevance that could potentially be applied to the Western Australian public library network.
OR;
Option Two:
To attend the 2015 International Federation of Library Associations & Institutions (IFLA) conference to be held in Cape Town, South Africa #wlic2015 and report widely on findings that could potentially be applied to the Western Australian public library network. Your application must address one of the research priority areas of interest for public libraries in Western Australia.
