[Hum-DIS] Reminder to RSVP for fundraiser

Hi everyone,

The Curtin Information Studies Alumni Committee is inviting you to come on a tour of the HMAS Ovens while helping to raise funds for the Information Studies Alumni Scholarship Fund. The tours will be conducted by the Committee's very own expert on all things maritime.

Please note, no children under the age of 12. Health and safety information from the Maritime Museum website: because the tour includes climbing 9 meter high scaffolding stairs, steeply inclined ladders and bending through narrow hatchways, a reasonable level of fitness, freedom from significant injuries, and the ability to climb independently (without walking aids) is required. Places are limited! There are only 10 spots per tour, so get in quick.

What: The HMAS Ovens submarine tour and lunch.

Where: Ovens submarine, Maritime Museum, Fremantle

When: Sunday 12 October. Two tours only! First tour starts 11am, second tour starts 1pm. $10 per person, not including lunch.

Why: A social gathering for library and information professionals, and their friends and family, to raise funds for the Alumni Scholarship fund! Hope we see you there!
