Subject: [WAIN] ALIAWest Committee meeting 5 November


You are cordially invited to the next ALIAWest committee meeting on 5 November, 6pm in the Gascoyne meeting room at the State Library. This will be an important meeting for us as we will be developing our events programme for 2015. Suggestions and feedback from our members are welcome, whether by email or in person at the meeting.

We are still looking for new committee members so if you would like to contribute to the profession, we have a range of roles available. We run several events each year so there are plenty of chances to be involved. Members have the opportunity to develop event and project management skills, public speaking skills, and make professional and social connections. Meetings are held monthly at the State Library and usually last an hour or so. Chocolates, brownies, and other treats may appear at meetings although they tend to disappear fairly shortly afterwards.

If you are thinking of joining the committee but want to discuss the time commitment or other expectations, please contact myself or other committee members. Lack of experience on committees is no barrier as we will be offering mentoring to new committee members.
