Hi All,

Emailing all you wonderful local history librarians (and even those who think they might like to be a local history librarian!).  This position is based at Karratha with the majority of work being local history, but also some general librarian duties (including being rostered on desk).

What I can say about the collection is.... It needs quite a bit of organising!  But it is an awesome collection and you will be in a fabulous team environment with lots of support.

Of course we would love an experienced local history librarian to fill this role as there is a lot to do and achieve.  However if you think you might like to specialise in local history and you have good organisational skills and you are awesome with technology (e.g. putting things on the web pages and generally tech savvy) we would love to hear from you.

C'mon and enjoy the lifestyle and the library up here - it is absolutely the best thing I ever did :)

Please note we are also building 3 new libraries and a museum space (won't be finished for a while), but the Council is very supportive of our libraries and local history collection.  Please also be aware that rents are slowly coming down here, particularly in shared accommodation.
