I am writing to advise you of a 10-month, part-time job opportunity in my small special library at Chevron, that may be of interest to some of your library school students. Start date is early March.  Interested candidates should register with the required agencies - Fujitsu<http://www.fujitsu.com/au/> or Ajilon<http://www.ajilon.com.au/>.

The role description is as follows:


1.     Provide library services to Chevron Australia.


2.     Specific tasks to be carried out include:

-       Digitise the complete collection of APPEA Journal articles held by the ABU Infolink(Library), and facilitate access to the digitised articles via the intranet.



-       Manage the daily ABU Infolink(Library) processes of purchasing materials upon request, cataloguing and recording all library circulation transactions in SirsiDynix Workflows.


3.     Deliverables include:

-          APPEA Articles * Web interface and solution architecture * User Acceptance Test Execution * APPEA Collection Maintenance Work Instruction * Stakeholder Engagement Plan and Execution.



-          Purchasing - Rush orders as requested by ABU Infolink customer sent to selected supplier and recorded in Infolink records within 1 working day * Standard orders sent to selected supplier and recorded in Infolink records within 2 working days.



-          Cataloguing * Newly acquired items catalogued into SirsiDynix Workflows, labelled and customer advised within 2 working days after arrival in Infolink * Backlog items to be handled under direction of Infolink Coordinator.



-          Loans * Check-ins and check-outs to be processed within 1 working day of receipt.
