Dear students

I attended the Woodside presentation on campus today. I would like to draw this Summer Vacation Campaign to the attention of all information management students, not only here in Perth but all around Australia as I was informed that Woodside will cover airfare and accommodation costs to successful candidates for the 12 week structured summer vacation program.

Other tips for applications, which close on Monday 18 August:

1.       Don’t regurgitate what is on the Woodside website, ie that Woodside is Australia’s largest independent oil and gas company, look at Woodside’s future objectives and how you might be able to make a contribution to these objectives

2.       More than just good grades are considered when selecting successful candidates so think about other experiences, work you have done and other areas you have been involved in. For example, were you a school team captain, are you in involved in a local club, have you volunteered, coached etc? What have you achieved?

3.       Use actual examples when filling out the online documentation

The Summer Vacation Campaign is aimed at students in their second last year of university as those who participate during the summer vacation program 2014/2015 will be assessed and may be offered a spot in the graduate development program in 2016.

Woodside Summer Vacation Campaign 2014/15
Do you know of any talented, highly motivated, penultimate year University students who would like to join Australia’s largest independent oil and gas company?

Applications are now open for our 2014/15 summer vacation program and will be closing on 18 August 2014.Penulitmate year university students are eligible to apply with both domestic and international students studying at Australian universities considered.

The summer programme will commence on Monday 1 December 2014 and span a 12 week period over the summer. Vacation students will have the opportunity to use their theoretical knowledge and apply it in a practical learning environment. They will have exposure to the very best technical and non technical experts here at Woodside.
