An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Library Research Assistant to join Knowledge Services in our Perth office on a part time (2 and ½ days per week) basis. Our Knowledge Services department has a strong reputation in the industry and is a highly valued and recognised group within our firm, for precedent development, knowledge management initiatives, legal research and current awareness.

Key responsibilities:
Working with the Library team you will contribute to the provision of a quality library service and be responsible for the following: filing loose-leaf updates, maintaining records on the library management system, physical maintenance of the collection, assisting in the provision of reference services and some legal research (under supervision).
For the Knowledge Management team you will provide general support and assistance by acting as a point of contact in the Perth office, to enable the team to deliver excellent knowledge management services to the lawyers.

What are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will have high level administration and organisational skills with an eye for detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work as part of a team and an outstanding commitment to customer service.  Experience in the use of library management systems in the provision of library services will be an advantage.
Experience in a legal or professional services environment is desirable but not essential. Candidates currently studying towards a library qualification will be highly regarded.
