To all students enrolled in Department of Information Studies units

I am writing to invite you to participate in a project which is exploring information literacy in information studies students. The project's survey is collecting information about how information studies students evaluate and use information for the purpose of completing their university studies. The project is part of an international collaboration with over 17 partners in Europe, North America, and Australasia.

The results of the project will inform educators so that they can develop curriculum, if necessary, to better address the information literacy skills of their students. In addition, the international study will seek to identify differences in information literacy skills across a range of cultural and educational contexts. The data collected in the survey will be analysed and presented at a conference and in a journal article, and contribute to an international journal article.

Your participation is voluntary and if you choose to participate you may withdraw your consent to participate at any time. While your participation would be greatly appreciated, you should not feel in any way obliged to participate in the project. There will be no negative consequences for you as a student if you decide not to participate.

If you decide to participate, the responses you provide will be completely anonymous. The responses you provide will not identify you as an individual and cannot be linked to any other data that would identify you. The responses you provide in the survey will not be used for any purpose other than those stated above.

The survey should take between 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

This research has been approved by the Curtin Human Research Ethics Committee (Protocol Approval: MCCA-01-13).

If you are willing to participate in the project, please click on the survey<http://survey.docinfos.fr/index.php?sid=66142&lang=en> link.

Many thanks,
Gaby
