This is a great opportunity to meet others in the field - I really encourage Perth students to go along.

Subject: [WAIN] ALIA New Grads WA - Ask an Information Professional
When you're a new librarian, you may find yourself with lots of questions. Questions about your job, about your career and about the profession.
We want to give you a chance to get your questions answered so the new grad co-ordinators have put together a crack group of experienced information professionals, both librarians and library technicians. This group includes people from public, special, academic and state libraries.
When: Wednesday 26th June, 5:45pm for a 6pm start
Where: The Great Southern Room at the State Library of WA
Bring: Nibbles to share and any burning questions you have
The evening will start with a screening of a video made during sessions at NLS6 and Information Online conferences where new librarians asked questions and experienced professionals answered them. This short video may give you some more ideas.
Then we will give you the opportunity to mingle, chat and ask questions with the experienced professionals and your peers in a relaxed, informal environment.
This is a free event, however if you are attending please bring a plate of nibbles to share. While it is aimed at students and new graduates, other information professionals are welcome to attend.
Please RSVP using EventBrite: http://www.eventbrite.com.au/event/7046027859#<http://www.eventbrite.com.au/event/7046027859>
