City of Nedlands is seeking applicants for the for the following position:

Library Services Coordinator - Ref 3614
12 month contract
$69,400 - $80,600 (Level 5)
Commute use of vehicle
Plus up to 11.25% superannuation

The primary function of the Library Services Coordinator is to provide support for the efficient operation of the Nedlands Library and Information Service by its effective management and promotion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Nedlands Library Service (two libraries - Nedlands and Mt Claremont) including supervision of staff, budget management, ensuring resources and services meet community needs and also participate as part of the management team of the Community Service Centres Department.

The successful applicant requires:


*         Experience in a similar role supervising library staff and providing library services

*         Substantial relevant experience working in an automated public library at a professional level

*         Recognised Tertiary library degree and eligible for Association Membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA)

*         Thorough knowledge of public library practice and procedures

*         Ability to work without supervision

*         Current National Police Certificate
