Dear Hum-dis readers,

May is Information Awareness Month.

The National Archives of Australia, Curtin University Department of Information Studies, and Curtin University Library are launching this initiative at an event to be held at Curtin on Wednesday May 8th at 4pm.

This free event will feature an address by Professor Margaret Nowak on the subject 'Better information = better business'. Professor Nowak is from the Governance and Corporate Social Responsibility Research Unit, Curtin Graduate School of Business; and is the current Chair of the Library Board of Western Australia.

For additional details and to register, please go to:

http://www.naa.gov.au/records-management/capability-development/information-awareness-month.aspx

Hopefully you will support Information Awareness month by attending this function, which will include a chance to socialise and network over some light refreshments.

Other states are have similar functions and you can follow the same link to find details of your local launch.
