Activ is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Library Technician to join our Library team based in our head office in Wembley. Activ Library is a major disability library; the collection has a strong focus on intellectual disability, and also features resources on disability, developmental delay and learning difficulties. The library provides services to families and carers of people with disability, along with teachers and staff of disability organisations.
The main duties of the role include; circulation duties, interlibrary loans, collection maintenance, and customer service.
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
§ Library technician qualification and/or relevant experience in a library environment;
§ Library circulation and collection maintenance experience;
§ Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service;
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
§ Previous experience with DbTextWorks or other library system;
§ Previous Interlibrary loans experience is highly regarded.
