*Employment opportunity - Information management policy and practice*
The Policy and Strategic Projects section of the National Archives of
Australia is currently seeking to fill several project officer positions
at the APS6 level. In this role, you will work as part of the Government
Information Management branch to help improve information and records
management policies and practices in Commonwealth Government agencies.
Duties may include:
- Developing policies and approaches to ensure proper and accountable
management of information in the Australian Public Service.
- Improving the capacity of the Archives to understand progress in the
digital environment
- Engaging and partnering in strategic relationships with industry, the
IT sector, other key areas of government, and with other jurisdictions
One of the positions will also:
- Help to maintain the National Archives' metadata standards and
thesaurus tools, including contributing to National Archives
representation
on Australian Standards committees.

The Dictionary of Sydney Trust is seeking a new Executive Officer.
Entrepreneurial spirit, financial and partnership skills and plenty of
energy are all required for this part-time role to manage an extraordinary
digital humanities project and steer it towards sustainability.
The Dictionary is flexible as to work hours and the role could be spread
over more days.
