POLICY & RESEARCH OFFICER

STATE LIBRARY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA

SEPTEMBER 2011 - FEBRUARY 2012

 

 

The State Library of Western Australia has a vacancy for the position of
Policy & Research Officer, and we are seeking Expressions of Interest
for this position from September 2011 to February 2012.

 

The position offers a great opportunity to work across the State Library
and with government on a wide range of issues and projects.   This
position has responsibility for coordinating statistical information
across the Library, reporting to the Library Board on Key Performance
Indicators and a wide range of activities and projects that include
research papers, letters, coordinating briefings for National and State
Libraries Australasia (NSLA) meetings, and support for the Library Board
and other committees.

 

The attached JDF provides a summary of the duties.   This position is
classified in the public sector as Specified Calling Level 1 ($55,677 -
$76,337), with an essential criteria "Eligibility for Associate
membership of the Australian Library and Information Association."

1.	  Demonstrated ability in writing reports, briefing papers and
other documents for committees. 

      2.     Demonstrated knowledge of the internet and computer
applications, e.g. word processing and spreadsheets.

3.     Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels,
both verbally and in writing.
