Dear Tabitha and Info studies students

 

The Information Studies Alumni Chapter has been working with Curtin
Alumni for quite some time on this exact issue.

 

Curtin Alumni is working, as I type, on a revised alumni page for our
chapter AND this will include a Facebook page for Info Studies Alumni
(and our alums go waaaayyyyy back) and a Linked-in site.  We will email
you all once the facilities are operational and let you know more about
what you can expect to post to them.

Hi all,

 

So that all of us students have somewhere to keep in touch and chat
about units/assignments in the course and such, I have made a facebook
group called:  Curtin Library & Info Management Students Society (aka
CLAIMSS)

The blurb for the group is:

 

"This is a facebook group for the Library and Information Management
Students at Curtin University.

The aim of this group is socialisation, the ability to pass on
information and help and networking. Selling past textbooks is permitted
but not over-advertisement.

There does not seem to be an guild academic club for library and
information management students at the moment so there is the
possibility to use this as a platform to make one :)

Membership is set to need approval so that randoms not studying/in
librarianship/info management do not join."
