The Department of Corrective Services (DCS) WA has embarked on a 3 year project to implement the electronic document functionality of its existing records management system, TRIM, at all its locations across the state.  There is now an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of information specialists delivering information solutions that improve business efficiencies and meet our legislative requirements.

 

We are looking for an experienced Records Retention and Disposal Coordinator to join the newly established EDRMS project team.  This is a level 4 ($62,959 - 66,538), fixed term, position for 2 years with the possibility of extension.

 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and experience in, applying the principles of classification and sentencing for temporary and permanent value (archival) records.   Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with business areas to identify critical information requirements throughout the Department are essential.

 

The EDRMS project team is part of the Knowledge Management Directorate at DCS, within Corporate Support, and assists with the provision of vital information services both internally and externally.  Knowledge Management is the custodian of Offender and Corporate records, coordinating the release of information, administering the Freedom of Information Act, ensuring data integrity and providing vital communications via our Intranet and Website through Online Services.
