Dear 2011 Students,
Are you studying postgraduate qualifications in librarianship this year?
If so, you may be interested in a 'Library Professional Cadet' position
with The University of Melbourne Library (2 positions available).
The cadetships offers a full time position (fixed term) for up to 2
years. Closing date for applications is: 15 March 2011.
During this time, cadets will gain a broad range of professional
experience through placements and rotations while undertaking part time
study in librarianship.
We are recruiting cadets with a recent and relevant undergraduate degree
in a discipline other than Library and Information Studies.
Preference will be given to applications with degrees in Biomedicine,
Architecture, Building, Planning or Environments; or Music, Visual and
Performing Arts although applicants with other degrees in other
disciplines may also apply.
This is a fabulous opportunity to be part of a dynamic world class
organisation whilst gaining practical professional library experience, a
qualification and be paid whilst doing all this!
We now look forward to hearing soon from 2011 cadetship applicants.
