If you’ve graduated from a library course within the past five years, your participation in a research study would be greatly appreciated.
I’m conducting a research project as a part of my Master of Information Management degree at Curtin University. The aim of this project is to discover how early career librarians respond to ethical dilemmas in librarianship that have arisen from developments in technology, with a view to understanding their professional ethical values.
As a participant you will be asked to give your opinion on five hypothetical scenarios during a 30 - 45 minute interview. Participants in the pilot study found the scenarios to be quite intriguing - even fun! Interviews can be conducted at a time and using a method that suits you (whether face-to-face, over the phone or via Skype) so participants across all states are more than welcome. Ideally, interviews will be recorded, but any data obtained will remain confidential and you will not be identifiable in the final report.
For further information, please do not hesitate to contact either myself (abena.asomani at postgrad.curtin.edu.au<mailto:abena.asomani at postgrad.curtin.edu.au>) or my supervisor Gaby Haddow (g.haddow at curtin.edu.au<mailto:g.haddow at curtin.edu.au> or 9266 2707).
If you’re interested in participating, please contact me within the next week or so. I look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks!
Abby Asomani
