Position No: 00001387

Salary: Specified Calling Level 2 $75,392 - $83,322 pa PSGA

Location: South Perth (other locations may also be considered)

 

This is an opportunity to develop innovative and highly efficient
services for our primary Library and its clients using state of the art
digital communication technologies and also through regional site
visits. 

Presently the Library provides a wide range of information services to
its geographically dispersed clients and promotes both online and print
based media; its collection includes a substantial archive of our
departments and other agricultural publications. These collections are a
unique resource for agricultural information which requires continued
management and development so as to provide research services for our
staff to assist all aspects of our department's activity. 

 

In this role you will predominately be responsible for the management of
the department's Library and its staff and assist with the development
and implementation of strategic priorities for this service. The
successful applicant will coordinate the development and integration of
a range of information services, including electronic resources, and
provide the effective and efficient dissemination of information
throughout the organisation. The Library Manager also undertakes
reference and research work utilising local and outside resources.

 

Tenure: Fixed term opportunity for three (3) years. Consideration may
then be given to offering a further term(s) or permanent appointment
subject to conditions.
