For the first time in 2011, RAILS7 will include a Research Student
Consortium, where research students can present their research to an
audience of peers and senior researchers in a sharing, supportive
environment. The consortium will be held on 9 May 2011.

The consortium is open to all interested PhD or Masters by Research
students but we would also welcome submissions from anyone contemplating
starting a research degree who would like to use their participation to
assist them in developing an application. All participants should submit
an extended abstract of 500-1,000 words outlining their research using
the template provided to the Research Consortium Organiser, Dr Michael
Olsson by 28 February 2011.

Each participant will present for 10 minutes, briefly outlining their
research and highlighting issues they would like feedback on. This will
be followed by a 5 minute response by a designated participant
respondent. This will then be followed by 15 minutes (more if time
permits) discussion, led by senior research mentors.
