Dear Colleagues,

 

Due to an internal restructure, Landgate is seeking placement for a Level 1.9 Officer currently working as a Library Assistant and with qualifications as a Library Technician substantially completed.

 

Carolyn Leach has worked for Landgate for more than 20 years, 8 of which have been spent in the Landgate Library carrying out the full range of Library Assistant duties. 

 

Carolyn has acted effectively in the Librarian position on several occasions and has provided a considerable level of support to this position particularly during my absence.

 

The need for placement has evolved from the ongoing digitisation of the Landgate Library and the likelihood of staff reduction.  Carolyn is keen to remain in the Library environment and Landgate is willing to assist her placement by supporting agencies through a three-month Landgate-funded trial.  Placement would need to be to a library or information service in the Western Australian Public Sector with the expectation of placement to fill an existing vacancy, after the three month trial.

 

Landgate considers it a high priority that the opportunity provides `like to like’ employment conditions matched as closely as possible to Carolyn’s current employment in Landgate.
