Library Assistant - Allens Arthur Robinson

 

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic part-time Library
Assistant (2.5 days/week or equivalent) to join the Allens Arthur
Robinson Library team in Perth.

 

This position involves working as part of the local and firm-wide
Library teams contributing to the provision of a quality Library service
to Allens staff and clients. 

At the local level the Library Assistant is responsible for the
following; filing and coordinating loose-leaf and hardcopy services,
assisting Reference Desk staff, coordinating shelving and shelf
checking, updating distribution lists and databases, copy cataloguing,
mail processing and occasional outside attendance to other libraries,
firms and suppliers.

Requirements for the position are:

*	Experience in a legal or professional services environment or
currently undertaking library studies

*	Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*	An ability to work as part of a team

*	An outstanding commitment to customer service 

*	Information retrieval skills and experience in the use of
electronic/online library management systems in the provision of library
services will be an advantage

*	A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

 

General office hours are from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday. There is
some flexibility with the days and hours to be worked.
