Defence Records for Family Historians

Free Introductory Seminar and Tour

 

This informative seminar will introduce you to the exciting collection
of Defence records held by the National Archives of Australia, including
WWI and WWII dossiers, pay cards, Boer War records, National Service
records (both schemes)and some British WWI ex-servicemen's service
information.  The records are a wonderful resource for family historians
and professional researchers.  The tour will include the repository and
an opportunity to view a display of original and facsimile records.
Morning tea is provided. 

 

WHEN:   Wednesday 24 March 2010

 

WHERE:  National Archives of Australia, Perth Office

384 Berwick Street, East Victoria Park  WA  6101 - free parking outside
the front door.

 

WHEN:  Starts at 10.30am, finishes approximately 12.00 noon. Guests are
welcome to stay on and make use of the Reading Room facilities to do
personal research.

 

Places are strictly limited so booking is essential.
