FYI, RMAA WA Branch's AGM.  If you have not been on the SRO Tour it is
worth signing up for it. 

 

The RMAA Committee is looking for new committee members, give this some
thought as well. 

 

Student representatives in the committee is being soughtl, so if you are
interested feel free to contact me or nominate yourself using the forms
provided.

General Meeting & SRO tour 13 July 2010

 

To all WA Members,

A reminder that the WA Branch of the RMAA is holding the Branch General
Meeting on Tuesday 13 July 2010 at the State Records Office in the Perth
Cultural Centre at 4.30pm.  

 

Prior to the meeting, SRO staff will be conducting a tour of the SRO
stack and "treasures from the collection" starting at 3.30pm sharp.
There are still a small number of places available for this tour so if
you are interested please RSVP as soon as possible to secure your place.
Refreshments will be provided from 4.00pm and again after the meeting
and speaker.   This is a great opportunity to network with colleagues
and, most importantly, you can nominate to join the WA Branch Council
and be part of our active committee!

Event Details:

 

Date:   Tuesday 13 July 2010
3.30pm:         SRO tour (tour leaves at 3.30pm so please arrive a few
minutes early)

 

4.00-4.30pm:    Networking 

 

4.30 - 4.40pm:  Cathrin Cassarchis, Director of the SRO will provide an
update on the progress of the State Repository and digital archive 

 

4.40 - 5.15pm:  General Meeting 

 

5.15 - 6.00pm:  Networking continues

 

Venue:  State Records Office (please use the SRO entrance at the south
west corner of the Alexander Library building)
James Street,   Perth Cultural Centre, Perth 6000

 

General Meeting

 

The closing date for acceptance of any motion not relating to the
ordinary annual business of the WA Branch Council will be 5.00pm on
Wednesday, 30 June 2010.

 

Agenda

 

1.      To receive a report from the President of the activities of the
Branch in the preceding year;

 

2.      To declare Branch Council members for the ensuing year from the
nominations received (nominations will also be taken from the floor);

 

3.      General Business

 

4.      Close
