Contract position for a Library & Information Resources Coordinator to
work for a leading Oil & Gas company (based in the Perth CBD).  The
contract will run through to 30 September 2010

Reporting to the Information Management Team Lead this position will
coordinate the provision of an efficient, cost effective and coordinated
Library management service to the company, support and lead development,
implementation, deployment, maintenance and continual improvement of
Library Management technologies, processes and supporting business
controls.

 

This role will also be expected to provide IM functional support to ABU
"customers" using the call tracking tools (Quantum) to monitor and
complete customer requests in a timely and efficient manner.  The
Library Specialist role is the lead subject matter expert for Library
Services expertise within ABU.  

 

Experience and Qualifications

*         Thorough understanding of the principles, practices and
techniques of Library management (paper, electronic and online service
providers), and experience of successful Library solution implementation
(technology and process based)

*         Degree in an Information Management related discipline
(specifically Librarianship) preferred

*         Minimum of 5 years prior experience in a similar role ,
preferably within the Exploration & Production industry

*         Proficiency with MS Office applications, and experience of
online publication service providers and solution providers 

*         Strong customer focus

*         Excellent communication skills, including liaison,
consultation and presentation skills 

*         Solid understanding of how to effectively introduce change in
a complex environment, together with demonstrated capacity to learn new
skills and integrate new knowledge into existing work activities.

*         Records Management experience and familiarity with technical
geo-science and facilities engineering documentation would be an
advantage

*         Methodical and practical approach to issue prevention and
problem solving 

*         Ability to work under pressure
