Are you an experienced records assistant wanting to develop your career
in Archives and Information Management? We are seeking an enthusiastic
self-starter to join our Information Management team. Working in a small
collaborative environment your main responsibilities include:
* Process accessions and destructions and amend TRIM metadata
following
recordkeeping procedures.
* Assist the Archivist with the implementation of the records
disposal program.
* Efficiently arrange and maintain records stored in the
Repository, including rationalising compactus storage space as
appropriate.
* Maintain appropriate security for all records being processed,
stored, borrowed or destroyed.
* Other administrative and customer service activities as
required.
The successful candidate will have a strong customer focus and be able
to work in a collaborative team environment. Records management
experience, including the retrieval and storage of records is essential,
as is the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
discreetly. Knowledge and experience with TRIM or another Electronic
Document Management System is highly desirable.
Within OH&S guidelines, regular lifting, packing, shelving and moving of
records is required.
Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume online addressing the
selection criteria. The successful candidate will be subject to aptitude
skills testing and a police check.
