Subject: [rmaa_list] Employment Opportunity - The University of Sydney -
Records Officer (Projects)

Records Officer (Projects)
Archives and Records Management Services
Reference No. 690/1109

The University of Sydney is Australia's premier University with an
outstanding global reputation for academic and research excellence, and
employs over 6,800 permanent staff supporting over 46,000 students.

The Archives and Records Management Services (ARMS) is a unit dedicated
to
managing the University's official records, and oversees all access to
records and information in compliance with the NSW State Records Act,
the
Freedom of Information Act and privacy legislation.

ARMS is currently seeking a proactive Records Officer to assist with the
rollout of Records Online 2.0, a system that manages the University's
administrative, staff and student files. This is a unique opportunity to
build your skill set and develop project management abilities while
gaining
major exposure to the implementation of records systems in a large,
prestigious organisation.

Harnessing your genuine passion for providing a quality user and client
experience, you'll act as the client relationship coordinator; liaising
with
stakeholders at all levels and building strong associations with key
business units. You will assist in providing user training for Records
Online, as well as prepare project communications and assist with client
survey collection and user forum presentations. Subsequently, it will be
crucial that you have a confident and charismatic communication style
and a
personable and patient demeanour.

You will apply a systematic and well-organised approach to gathering and
documenting requirements, analysing statistical data, identifying
records
classification requirements and subsequently conducting ongoing reviews
of
the system.

To succeed, you will possess experience in project management, records
management system implementation and records classification, retention
and
disposal, and are willing to learn and adapt. A background in statistic
gathering and reporting will be essential, as will a proven ability to
provide basic system training to users. Additionally, you will be
well-versed in legislative requirements and current recordkeeping
methodologies. A NSW Driver's Licence will be equally important.

The position is full time continuing subject to the completion of a
satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership of a
University
approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for new
appointees.

Remuneration package: $ 63,109.96 - $ 70,715.80 p.a. (which includes a
base
salary Level 5 $ 53,329 - $ 59,756 p.a., leave loading and up to 17%
employer's contribution to superannuation).

All applications must be submitted online. For more information and to
