RIMS (Records Information Management Solutions) is a specialist
recruiter for the provision of EDRMS & ECM consultants and support staff
across the public and private sectors.
Our client is seeking an Area Manager {located in their Sydney Office}
to manage the records information management initiatives and services
across the Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra offices.
You will work closely with stakeholders in identifying their
requirements, manage expectations and coordinate records and document
management projects and services. In particular you will manage the
service and business improvements associated with both electronic and
hardcopy records. You will be part of the national team, which has an
influential role in the organisation's global approach to document and
records management systems and standards. You will also manage a group
of nineteen effective and committed staff.
Key responsibilities of this role will be to:
* Manage a cost centre, involving financial budgeting, reporting
and approval of expenditure, predicting and reviewing service levels
* Manage, mentor and develop your team and coordinate resources
to maintain consistent levels of service
* Develop policies, standards and procedures in consultation with
client divisions and other parts of ITS
* Plan the development and implementation of document and records
management systems
The successful candidate will have well developed systems planning,
operational management and communications skills. They will have
experience in people and financial management, the development and/or
operation of document and records management systems and the delivery of
information services. They will have an excellent understanding of
records and information management principles.
Tertiary level qualification in document/records management, risk
management, information technology, legal studies or equivalent is
essential.
The key personal attributes for this role are the ability to influence
people to achieve outcomes, and to have a flexible and adaptable nature.
A proactive and positive attitude along with a passion for document and
records management will ensure success in this role.
