The Old Parliament House (OPH), Canberra has a 4-month (with the
possibility
of extension) employment opportunity for an APS 6, Records Management
Co-ordinator (salary range: $64,156 - $72,587).

criteria below (maximum 2 pages), with a brief resume, should be emailed

Duty Statement

Under general direction, and in accordance with APS Values and Code of
Conduct: 

1. Project manage the transfer of files from another government agency

2. Develop a strategic plan for OPH records management including scope
for
the next financial year.  

3. Develop and implement procedures for the operational management of
files
according to business requirements and an OPH good practise Records
Management Training program for all staff. 

4. Research, develop and implement a records disposal authority for OPH
in
accordance with the National Archives of Australia (NAA) requirements.  

5. Supervise staff, set team priorities and exercise delegations
appropriately.  


Selection Criteria

All of equal importance: 

1. Demonstrated knowledge of Records Management legislation, standards,
guidelines and practices within cultural and government environments and
experience in the development and implementation of a Records Authority.


2. Proven project management skills and experience.

3. Excellent administrative and organisational skills and the ability to
work within a team environment whilst managing competing priorities and
tight deadlines.

4. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills,
including a proven ability to effectively liaise with diverse range of
internal and external stakeholders.

5. Demonstrated knowledge and capacity to apply the APS Values;
participative management practices; workplace diversity principles; and
occupational health and safety within a work and team environment.
