[Hum-DIS] Victorian ALIA New Graduates Group event: Parliamentary Library Tour 16 March

Talk and tour at the Victorian Parliamentary Library

We had social drinks in February, but that was nothing when you look at
how the ALIA New Graduates Group Calendar in Victoria is shaping up for
the rest of the year! 

Our first major event of 2009 will be a talk and tour at the Victorian
Parliamentary Library.

When: Monday 16 March, 5:45pm for approximately one hour.
Where: in Victorian Parliament House, Spring Street, Melbourne (meet at
the Macarthur St entrance, at the back of Parliament House. Once through
Security, the staff will notify Marion King, who will come down and take
us to the Library).
Cost: nil.
RSVP:  Wednesday 11 March (be quick-places are limited) to
danielg at elitenet.com.au. If you’re an ALIA member, please provide
us with your ALIA membership number.

We are very grateful to Parliamentary Librarian Marion King and her
staff for accommodating us.

In other NGG Vic News, while we have your attention … the Committee is
now down to three, due to Peter Head and Monika McIntyre leaving us to
focus their attention on other things. A huge thank you to them for
their contributions last year. So we might be on the lookout for a new
face or two to join our team, to help continue the great reputation the
New Grads Group in Victoria has for being very active. You never know
when we might strike!

For now though, hope to see you at the Tour.
