Dear all,
FYI appended email re the above event posted in the RMAA listserve
recently. Please note this event and date in your diary.
This program would benefit our recent graduates working in the
information and records management profession as well as our current
students.
If you would like mentors from the industry to assist you in your career
development then consider signing up to be a mentee in the program. If
you have more than five years experience and would like be a mentor, you
are welcome to sign up to be a mentor in the program.
Also, come along for the event on Tues, 24 Mar.

Please come along to the 2009 launch of the 'Stepping Up' Mentoring
Program. This program is open to all industry professionals, students,
recent graduates or people working in the industry. The objective of the
program is to match mentors with mentees to share knowledge and to
network with likeminded information and records management
professionals.
Come along and be part of the mentoring program as a mentor or mentee.

If you are unsure of what being a mentor or mentee involves, come and
listen to Jim Elliot explain the what, how and why mentoring entails;
before you sign up to the program. The event provides an opportunity for
you to sign up for the program on the spot. Also, enable matched mentors
and mentees to get acquainted to kick off their mentoring relationship.

Attributes of a Mentor Program by Jim Elliot,
Student Transition and Retention Team Manager from Curtin University
This presentation will provide a framework for mentors and mentees to
develop a mutually beneficial relationship. Including the benefits for
both mentors and mentees.

(Please take the lift from the foyer to Level 7. Training Room is

Building Access:
All visitors will need to access Council House through the MAIN entrance
into the foyer area (off St George's Terrace). Please do not try to
access the building through the Lower Ground entrance or lift from the
car park under Council House. The main doors will remain open until
5.30pm. If you require access after this time please call 0411 550 111.
Please note that the Co-Coordinator of the program, Mo Henderson, will
be passing future direction of the program over to Pauline Joseph

Archives Management at Curtin University.
Please come along to meet your mentor or mentee, thank Mo for her
contributions to the program and to welcome Pauline into her new role.
