Please check the website for the conditions of nomination. As you can
see, it can be self nominating and if you feel you are eligible to
nominate and need some help with the process, please contact one of us

Dear Colleagues
The F A Sharr Medal is awarded to the graduand who has just completed
their final year of a library and information degree or diploma or to
the graduate who is in their first year of employment, exhibits the most
potential and is most likely to have a positive impact on their
preferred stream of the library profession.
ALIAWest Committee is calling for nominations for the 2009 F A Sharr
Medal. Nominations can be self-nominating or be put forward on behalf
of a candidate (with their approval) by their employer, a colleague, or
their teaching institution.
This is a highly prestigious award so please encourage anyone you
believe would be a contender to nominate or nominate them yourself!
For your information the key dates are:
~ 2nd November 2009 Nominations Open
~ 29 January 2010 Nominations Close
~ March 2010 Selection Process and Interviews
~ May 2009 F A Sharr Medal Presentation
