[Hum-DIS] [VIC] ALIA New Graduates Group event: Resumes and Key Selection Criteria

It's back! Not sure how to put together a resume or key selection criteria document, need to brush up, or just wanting some more tips to improve your chances towards getting the job you want? Then our next event could be for you. 

The ALIA New Graduates Group in Victoria is pleased to present three experienced professionals, who will provide you with their insight, and some do's and dont's when putting together these key components of your job application. You'll have an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters, and light refreshments will be provided. 

Presenters:
* Derek Whitehead, Director of Information Resources, Swinburne University of Technology; immediate past president of ALIA
* Trevor MacKay, Branch Manager for Hampton and Sandringham Libraries with Bayside Library Service
* Brad King, Victorian State Manager of One Umbrella, a recruitment and consulting firm specialising in library, information, records and knowledge management staff

When: Monday 24 August 2009, 5:45pm for a 6:00pm start, till approximately 7:30pm
Where: RMIT Swanston Library, Seminar Room 1, Building 8, Level 5, 360 Swanston Street, Melbourne
Cost: $2.00 (ALIA members and students); $5.00 (non-members)
