You're invited!
Charles Sturt University Centre for Information Studies students are
coming to Melbourne for a study visit in October. The ALIA Victorian New
Graduates Group is hosting an informal dinner to help them feel welcome,
and we’d love you to come!
If you’re a local library student, a new graduate librarian or you
work in the industry and just want to meet people and have fun, come
along and join us for an exciting night in the heart of Melbourne.
Studying at a distance can be a bit alienating so it's good to know
there is actually a community of library students living in Melbourne.
When: Wednesday 22 October 2008
Where: European Bier Cafe (120 Exhibition Street, Melbourne)
Time: 6:00pm start
RSVP: rparker at swin.edu.au by 15 October 2008
This is a great chance to make friends in the community, mix with other
students and learn about the industry from colleagues working in a range
of different libraries. Main meals range from $15 to $25, and entrees
from $10 to $15. For more information, see the website:
http://www.europeanbiercafe.com.au.
Hope to see you there.
