The Art of Exploring Second Life: creating an avatar and exploring
libraries

Location: Murdoch University Library, South Wing, Room 1.015. (Perth,
Western Australia)

Time: 1:30 - 4:30

 

Cost $65 per head.

 

Numbers

Minimum: The session will go ahead if there are 6 people signing up for
it.

Maximum: Numbers are limited to 10.

 

This hands-on workshop covers

*         What is Second Life and how is it being used by libraries?

*         Creating your own avatar

*         Using an avatar in Second Life, 

*         Safely exploring Second Life

*         Useful places to visit and to obtain things for your
inventory.

 

Participants will need an email address that they can access via the web
during the session. It must not have been used to create a Second Life
avatar already.
