The wait is over!
Interested in taking a taking a behind the scenes peak at the State
Library of Victoria? Or perhaps you're more interested in having a
natter with some friendly library folk at the pub?
Well you can do both on Monday 19 May with the ALIA Victorian New
Graduates Group. Team member Peter Head will take us on an informal
stroll around the SLV to have a look at some of the fun bits and talk
about what it's like to work at the state's (arguably country's) oldest
public library. Then you can swap notes at the Lion Hotel across the
road over a drink or bite to eat.
Sound like fun? Here's the details:
When: Monday 19 May, 5.45pm, for a 6.00pm start.
Duration: approx. 1 hour.
Where: State Library of Victoria, 328 Swanston Street, Melbourne.
Use the main entrance and meet in the front foyer.
Then across the road for a drink or a bite to eat.
When: Approx 7:00pm.
Where: Lion Hotel, Melbourne Central (211 La Trobe Street), Level 3
(near Hoyts).
Please RSVP for the tour to Daniel (danielg at elitenet.com.au) by
Wednesday 14 May. Be sure to let us know if you will be coming to the
Hotel afterwards. If you can’t make the tour, but want to pop by the
Hotel you are more than welcome.
Cheers,
Daniel, Peter, Rebecca, Noriko and Monika.
