Subject: Student needed for records sentencing work

Dear Margaret

CBS requires a records student to work with myself and the Personal
Assistant to the Pro-Vice Chancellor CBS to review the backlog of paper
records in the CBS Executive repository. The review would involve three
steps:- 1.
Assessment of the records 2. Box listing 3. Making the records ready for
transfer to the RAO or sentencing the records and awaiting destruction
permission

We would like the student to work on a casual basis at G03 02 (see
University pay scales [about $25 per
hour]http://staff.curtin.edu.au/staffservices/home/salaries/salary.cfm?p
age=generals-apr2008).
This is equivalent to the NSW Crown Employees (Librarians, Library
Assistants, Library Technicians and Archivists) Award 2002 Grade 1 Level
1 pay scale.

The student would need to devote a minimum of 1.5 and maximum of 2.5
days a week to the task. With the volume of the backlog I would think
this task will take much of this year. The position would commence as
soon as possible.

Can you please send this to your students?

regards
Roberta
