Subject: [rmaa_list] Perth-based Contract Opportunity - EDRMS Project
Data Entry Staff required

The National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority (NOPSA) seeks a
suitable data entry person(s) to perform the task of migrating existing
documents from NOPSA's file system to our Objective Enterprise Document
and Records Management System.

The overall task duration is estimated at 70 elapsed days (less if two
staff are contracted).
There are approximately 19,000 documents to migrate, from 3100 folders.
Two data entry staff are preferred, but we could start with one if two
people are not readily available.

Task: Under initial direction,
    - Migrate Quality Management System documents (these must be
migrated in a specific sequence to build a history of versions in
Objective)
    - Migrate Regulatory Operations documents from our "R Drive" to
Objective.
    - Perform a sweep of migrated data to address certain quality
issues, such as document naming and the assignment of consistent
metadata to documents.

The task requires attention to detail, and ability to follow a series of
defined steps on a repetitive basis. It's tedious, but important to
perform correctly. There will be times when large numbers of documents
are uploading, making the data entry person(s) wait until that operation
is completed.

Knowledge and experience:
* Experience using Objective EDMS would be highly desirable. Experience
with other document or records management systems that maintain version
control is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of, or experience within the Oil and Gas or Health and
Safety industries would be desirable.
* High proficiency with common MS Office applications and MS Windows is
essential.
* The ability to interpret a document and deduce a reasonable title
that describes the document is highly desirable.

Working conditions:
1. Full time or part time (minimum 5 hours per day) would suit.
2. Flexible working hours (once experienced, can start and finish
without supervision).
3. Actual desk location is likely to be variable, fitting into available
workstations on a daily basis, within Level 20 or 22 of our building
(address details below).

Please contact Natalie Goodban (direct details below) if you have any
queries regarding this opportunity.

Please submit your applications to our HR department via
jobapplications at nopsa.gov.au The deadline for responses is Friday 25th
January 2008.

Best wishes,
